Kathleen really knocked it out of the park with her recommendation for our family of 4 to visit The Fives Beach & Residences in Playa del Carmen. Our kids ages 9 and 15 were thrilled to have their own space in our 2 BR suite. We found the resort staff very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and maintenance free, and the food was just delicious (it was hard to choose a favorite between Arezzo, Oka Sushi and Mestizo). We had many memorable experiences to include participating in the ceviche class at the beach, lounging in the infinity pool, and watching the wildlife. We especially enjoyed seeing several monkeys, one was even bold enough to stroll across the poolside bar one afternoon and steal a piece of pineapple. Kathleen put together an amazing vacation and was very knowledgeable about this location. We'd definitely consider returning to The Fives in the future - it set the bar very high for other resorts!
