Is A Career In Travel Sales For You?
Does this sound like you?
I have previous sales experience outside of retail sales. Many successful travel agents were once realtors, loan officers, or had a successful multi-level marketing business such as Pampered Chef or Lularoe.
If I don't have previous sales experience, I have often been told I should be in sales. I am outgoing, gregarious and love to work with people.
I have traveled extensively either to one destination or many. Friends and family often come to me for travel advice.
I am self-motivated. No one needs to be looking over my shoulder. I am a self-starter.
I am willing to put in the work. Travel sales can be a full- or part-time job. It's your choice, but you've got to be willing to put in the hours.
I am committed to working my sales plan. We will help you craft the plan, but you have to be willing to execute it.
If this sounds like you, then being a Modern Travel Professional might be a perfect fit! This is a fun, exciting job with a flexible schedule, but it takes work and commitment to be successful.
Do you think life at Modern Travel Professionals is for you? Complete our online application and we will be in touch shortly to answer all your questions.
Questions? Here are some of our most common asks:
How many hours do I need to work? As an independent contractor, you can work as many hours as you like. However, in order to be successful you should plan on putting in a minimum of 25 hours per week.
How long will it take to build my business? Realistically, it will take 6-12 months of consistent marketing to begin seeing results.
How do I get paid? We pay once per month via direct deposit. Most travel bookings are paid out after the client returns from travel.
Is training provided? Is there a cost? Modern Travel Professionals offers a comprehensive, six-week training program at no cost to you. All training is done online at your convenience.
Will I be able to travel for free? Maybe. There are some agencies out there advertising "free travel" for new agents but, unfortunately, that is not reality. Travel agents do not travel for free. High-producing agents can earn free travel through certain vendors, but you will need to build up a healthy business before that happens.
