Alaska 2027 is Open - and Booking Early Really Matters

Alaska in 2027 is officially open… and if it’s been on your mind (even just a little), this is one of the best times to start looking.
Holland America has released their Alaska sailings, and on select itineraries they’re offering their Early Booking Bonus with the Have It All Plus package. This is one of my favorite ways to cruise Alaska, because it takes so many of the “extras” and includes them right from the beginning.
Here’s what that includes:•
Shore excursion credit to help you get out and really experience Alaska
Specialty dining for a memorable night onboard
A premium beverage package (including coffees, teas, cokes, and more—not just alcohol)
Wi-Fi to stay connected or share those glacier photos
Crew appreciation (gratuities) already included
When you add these on separately, it can add up quickly… so having it bundled in just makes everything feel easier and more relaxed. It’s a great way to enjoy Alaska without constantly thinking about what’s included and what’s not.
Another reason I always recommend booking early—itineraries that include Glacier Bay National Park.
Not every cruise line has access, and even within Holland America’s sailings, space is limited. It’s one of the most breathtaking parts of Alaska, and definitely something I suggest prioritizing if it’s available.
And then there’s September sailings, which I think are a bit of a hidden gem.
You’ll often find fewer crowds, a more relaxed atmosphere onboard, and the beginning of fall colors along the coastline. It’s such a peaceful, scenic time to experience Alaska.
There are a variety of itineraries available for 2027—roundtrip Seattle, as well as northbound and southbound sailings between Vancouver and Whittier—so there’s a lot of flexibility depending on how you want to experience Alaska.I’ve already booked quite a few clients for 2027, and it really comes down to this—Alaska has a shorter season, and it’s incredibly popular. The earlier you look, the better your chances of getting the itinerary, ship, and cabin location you really want.
For example, I’ve personally booked the September 12, 2027 sailing from Whittier to Vancouver aboard Nieuw Amsterdam, which currently includes onboard credit in addition to the Have It All Plus offer. It’s just one of several strong options for that season.

And don’t even get me started on adding a pre-cruise train journey to Denali National Park… the ride on the Alaska Railroad in GoldStar Service is an experience all on its own—glass-dome ceilings, elevated seating, and panoramic views that make you want to just sit back and take it all in.
And then there’s Denali itself. It’s home to North America’s tallest peak, and the park feels vast, wild, and completely untouched. You’re not just visiting—you’re experiencing Alaska in a different way, with opportunities to spot wildlife like moose, bears, and caribou, and take in scenery that’s hard to put into words.
It’s one of those additions that turns a great cruise into something truly unforgettable.
If Alaska has been on your list, this is a great time to start exploring what that trip could look like. I’m always happy to walk through options with you and help you find the right fit—no pressure, just a conversation.
