Walt Disney World for Star Wars Fans

Star Tours

Take a spin around the galaxy on Star Tours, a 3D simulator ride that takes guests on an adventure through the Star Wars universe. There are a number of different possible locations you could encounter, so the ride is often different each time. Last year Star Tours also debuted a new segment featuring Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Jedi Training Academy

For smaller Star Wars fans, the Jedi Training Academy is a chance to learn some lightsaber techniques and the ways of the Force. In this daily show, Jedi instructors train guest Padawans for an encounter with the Dark Side. This experience is available for guests age 4-12. Sign-up is required and spots fill up quickly, so if this is something you want to do, be sure to sign up as early in the day as possible.

Star Wars Launch Bay
Located in the former Magic of Disney Animation building, there’s plenty to enjoy here for Star Wars fans. There are several displays of replica and authentic Star Wars film props, as well as some great photo op spots. Here you also have the chance to meet Chewbacca and Kylo Ren. A few other characters are sometimes hanging around in the Cantina area, as well.
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away
To catch lots of Star Wars characters in one place, check out this daily stage show in front of the Chinese Theater. Interspersed with clips from the films, you’ll see favorite characters such as C-3PO and R2D2, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Darth Maul, and BB-8. In this area you can also see the daily March of the First Order, where Captain Phasma leads Stormtroopers up Hollywood Boulevard to the Chinese Theater stage.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

Walt Disney World’s newest nighttime spectacular celebrates everything Star Wars with this projection and pyrotechnic show. Viewing is available in the plaza in front of the Chinese Theater. This is the best spot to see the projections on the Chinese Theater and surrounding buildings, which is the main focus of the show. The fireworks portions of the show can be seen from other areas of the park, but the projections are best viewed from in front of the Chinese Theater.
