This year marked the debut of Disney Cruise Line’s first Marvel Day at Sea, a special day on select sailings where fans can celebrate everything Marvel! This special event is available on select sailings out of New York this fall and select sailings out of Miami in early 2018. For guests who are ready to live their Marvel adventure, here are Marvel fan must-dos on Marvel Day at Sea.
Meet Your Heroes
Many favorite Marvel characters will be greeting their fans on Marvel Day at Sea, including favorites such as Captain America, Thor, and Spider-Man. Guests on Marvel Day at Sea will also be treated to some character meets debuting for the first time on Disney Cruise Line, such as Iron Man, Black Panther, and Loki. The full roster will also include Hawkeye, Black Widow, Dr. Strange, Star-Lord, Gamora, and Groot.
Learn About the Mystic Arts
A new stage show featuring Dr. Strange will premiere on Marvel Day at Sea as he demonstrates the power of the mystic arts, and guest aid him in battle against evil forces.
Awesome Dance Party for Adults
Adults can enjoy an exclusive dance party at Fathoms featuring everyone’s favorite awesome mix. Guests will also enjoy appearances from Star-Lord, Gamora, and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Show Off Your Nerd Side
Costume contests will also take place in the ship’s atrium on Marvel Day at Sea, so you can pack up your best Marvel character cosplay and compete for nerd bragging rights. Be sure to follow Disney Cruise Line’s costume guidelines, and if your costume involves a mask you can’t be wearing it while walking around (wearing it while standing still for photos is fine).
Celebrate the Marvel Universe
You won’t want to miss this must-do at Marvel Day at Sea! At the end of the day, the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe gather for a spectacular nighttime stunt show which ends, of course, with fireworks.

Throughout the day guests can catch up on their favorite Marvel films or their favorite superhero animated series in the onboard theaters.
