6 National Parks to Visit Once Travel Returns

Even though travel is on pause for now, it will come back! If you’re aching to travel once we’re able to do so again, but are looking for somewhere closer to home, a great choice is to visit some of the many breathtaking national parks around the United States! With wide-open spaces, and with alternatives to flying, national parks are a great vacation choice for post-quarantine travel.

Here are some of the national parks you can’t miss!


Grand Canyon National Park

One of the most well-known sights in the United States, the Grand Canyon stretches for 277 miles and is the incredible result of  millions of years geological activity. Whether you hike the canyon rim or journey into the canyon itself, the Grand Canyon never fails to puts its visitors in awe.


Bryce Canyon National Park

Rather than a single canyon, Bryce Canyon is made up of a series of natural “amphitheaters” carved into the edge of a high plateau. The most well-known of these is the incredible Bryce Amphitheater, which is filled with irregularly eroded spires of rocks called hoodoos. Take in this iconic view from Bryce Point.


Arches National Park

Arches National Park features an impressive collection of over 2000 sandstone arches , some rising hundreds of feet above the desert. Explore the soaring arches and their fiery hues on a scenic drive or along the park’s many hiking trails.


Yellowstone National Park

Sprawling over 3500 square miles, Yellowstone National Park features an astonishingly diverse landscape of canyons, rivers, forests, hot springs, and geysers, including the well-known Old Faithful. Yellowstone is also home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife including wolves, bears, bison, elk, and antelope.


Yosemite National Park

Located in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, Yosemite National Park is known for its ancient Giant Sequoia trees. Popular sights for visitors include the much-photographed Tunnel View scenic viewpoint, the soaring El Capitan granite cliff,  the spire-like Cathedral Peak, beautiful Tuolumne Meadows, and its many waterfalls including Yosemite Falls and Bridalveil Fall.


Grand Teton National Park

Encompassing the impressive Teton mountain range as well as the valley known as the Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park offers over 300,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The park is a destination for fishing, hiking, mountaineering, and incredible panoramic views.
