Don’t Let Stress Be Your Souvenir

No one heads off on vacation hoping to bring home stress as a souvenir. But when you’re exploring a new place, it’s easy to feel a little unsure—new streets, different customs, signs you can’t quite translate, and that tiny worry in the back of your mind about getting turned around in a city you’ve never visited.
That’s one of the big reasons I’ve become such a fan of traveling with Globus.
I’ve enjoyed several of their vacations myself, and each time I’m reminded how relaxing it feels to explore a destination with a knowledgeable guide by your side. Even when I’ve done all the planning before the trip, once you’re actually there, having someone who knows the city inside and out makes all the difference. You’re not just seeing the sights—you’re experiencing them with a storyteller who brings the culture and history to life in such a meaningful way.
Another perk I love? You never have to worry about navigating unfamiliar roads. No maps, no apps, no stress. Globus handles all the transportation, so you can simply take in the scenery, enjoy the company of your fellow travelers, and focus on the moments that matter. There’s a wonderful freedom in letting someone else do the driving.
Something else Globus does exceptionally well is choosing hotels that are centrally located. After a day of exploring, it’s such a gift to be able to step outside your hotel and immediately feel the heartbeat of the city—cafés within walking distance, charming shops around the corner, and iconic landmarks just a short stroll away. You don’t lose time commuting, and you never feel disconnected from the place you came to see.
On my recent Globus tour in France, this made a remarkable difference. After exploring the incredible Mont-Saint-Michel—and climbing all the way to the top!—the last thing any of us wanted was to get back on a bus and drive to a hotel miles away. Thankfully, our hotel was just a short walk from the mount. We were able to rest, refresh, enjoy our included dinner, and then stroll back in the evening. With the crowds gone and the sky glowing with sunset colors, we captured some of the most beautiful photos of the entire trip. It’s still one of my favorite memories, and it only happened because Globus truly understands the value of great locations.
If you’re traveling solo, Globus is one of the friendliest and easiest ways to see the world. I’ve met so many travelers who arrived on their own and left with new friends—people they shared meals with, laughed with, and discovered new cities with. There’s something special about being part of a small group where everyone is excited to experience the world together.
At the end of the day, travel should refill your cup—not drain it. With Globus, you can step into a new country with confidence, knowing you’re in good hands every step of the way.
And that’s the kind of souvenir I wish for everyone.
