5 Disneyland Table-Service Restaurants You MUST Try

If you’re looking for a sit-down meal at Disneyland, whether you want character dining, something casual, or something with an amazing and memorable atmosphere, Disneyland has plenty of choices. Here are 5 Disneyland table-service restaurants to try.

Carthay Circle Restaurant – This restaurant sits at the end of Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, and is steeped in Disney history. The exterior is designed like the Carthay Circle Theater, where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs first premiered. The interior is full of photos from Walt Disney’s life and career, and parts of the ceiling are painted with backgrounds from Snow White. The menu is upscale Californian cuisine, and it can be pricey, but is a lovely place for a nice dinner to celebrate a special occasion. They also offer special package including reserved World of Color viewing areas.

Carnation Café – This lovely little restaurant in Disneyland fits perfectly into the quaint Victorian-style buildings of Main Street. The menu is made up of American comfort food, including some of Walt’s favorite dishes. Definitely try the fried pickles appetizer.

Minnie & Friends Character Breakfast – The Plaza Inn on Main Street offers quick-service dining for lunch and dinner, but for breakfast they offer Disneyland’s only in-park character dining. Guests get to enjoy a breakfast buffet while meeting Minnie Mouse and a variety of other Disney characters.

Blue Bayou Restaurant – This is possibly Disneyland’s most famous of the Disneyland table-service restaurants to try, and as far as atmosphere goes it can’t be beat. This restaurant is right next to Pirates of the Caribbean, and from the dining area you can see the ride boats float past. The food is pricey but delicious, with lots of Cajun-inspired dishes as well as the infamous Monte Cristo sandwich. It’s a great spot for a special occasion. It is very popular, so be sure to make reservations.

Goofy’s Kitchen – For those looking for more character dining, another great choice is this spot at the Disneyland Hotel. Goofy’s Kitchen offers a character buffet where guests can meet Goofy and friends, usually including Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Donald. The buffet contains lots of delicious items, as well as a few ‘goofy’ items such as peanut butter and jelly pizza.
