Dreaming About Your Next Cruise?

I’ve been having some really fun conversations lately about future trips, and it reminded me how much I love talking cruises with all of you.

Lately, I’ve also been spending a lot of time thinking about just how much I love ocean cruising—and how perfect it can be for so many different kinds of travelers.

There’s something really special about unpacking once, settling into your cabin, and waking up in a new place every day. On one itinerary you might be exploring colorful Caribbean ports, on another you could be sailing past glaciers in Alaska, and on yet another you might be wandering through historic Mediterranean cities. It’s such an easy, relaxed way to see the world.

What I also love is the variety of destinations ocean cruises can take you to. Whether you’re dreaming about:

  • Alaska and its jaw-dropping scenery

  • The Mediterranean with all that history, food, and culture

  • A warm Caribbean escape in the winter

  • The British Isles, with charming towns, castles, and dramatic coastlines

  • Northern Europe, especially Norway’s stunning fjords

  • Or even something unique like a Panama Canal cruise

There’s truly a sailing out there for almost every travel style and pace.

One thing I also love is how different cruise lines create totally different experiences. For example:

Virgin Voyages is adults-only, modern, and fun, with great food, no buffets, and a very relaxed, stylish vibe.

Holland America is classic, elegant, and wonderful for longer or more scenic itineraries like Alaska, Norway, and the Panama Canal, with excellent service and really good food.

Disney Cruise Line is incredibly well-run and immersive, with beautiful ships, Broadway-style shows, and that special Disney magic—perfect not just for families, but also for adults who love Disney or want top-notch service and entertainment.

Same ocean. Very different personalities.

I also wanted to mention that right now is something called “Wave Season” in the cruise world. It runs from January through March and is when cruise lines roll out some of their best offers of the year—things like reduced deposits, onboard credit, free upgrades, or extra perks. It’s a really smart time to start planning, even if your trip isn’t until later this year or next.

If an ocean cruise has been sitting in the back of your mind—even as a “someday” trip—I’d love to hear what destinations you’ve been curious about lately. No pressure, no commitments. Just dreaming and exploring ideas together.

Where would you love to cruise to next?
