The Best Pools at Universal Orlando Resort

Summertime doesn’t have to end quite yet, and what says summer more than time at the pool? Although guests are visiting Universal Orlando to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or meet their favorite Marvel superheroes, it’s always nice to get in some pool time on vacation. Check out the pools of Universal Orlando Resort.

Hard Rock Hotel

This pool matches the attitude of the hotel with a sand beach, underwater stereo system, water slide, poolside activities, and cabana rentals. Guests can grab a light lunch or cocktails from the Beachclub poolside.

Portofino Bay Hotel

The beautiful Portofino Bay Hotel offers three different pools. There’s the family-oriented, zero-entry Beach Pool with a Roman aqueduct-style water slide and sand beach as well as adjacent kids’ pool and poolside activities. The Splendido Pool Bar & Grill is near the Beach Pool offering burgers, salads, and drinks. The Villa Pool is a quieter location in a garden courtyard – cabanas are available to rent here. There’s also the Hillside Pool, a secluded pool in the hotel’s east wing.

Royal Pacific Resort

This tropical resort offers a sprawling swimming pool with the Royal Bali Sea interactive water play area for kids. Poolside activities and cabana rentals are also available. On select evenings, guests can also enjoy a torch lighting ceremony in the pool area. Food and drinks are available poolside from Bula Bar & Grill.

Sapphire Falls Resort

This resort at Universal Orlando offers a palm tree-lined pool with a water slide and sandy play areas, along with a fire pit. Next to the water slide is the Drhum Club Katine, a tapas-style bar serving fresh seafood and tropical cocktails.

Cabana Bay Beach Resort

One of the most varied pool experiences at Universal Orlando, Cabana Bay Beach has pools in its two wings. The south courtyard offers a swimming pool with a nearby lazy river and inner tubes available to purchase. The north courtyard has its own swimming pool with a water slide as well as sandy play areas. The former has the Hideaway Bar & Grill serving a selection of grill options and drinks, while the latter has Atomic Tonic, a full bar that also has prepackaged snacks available.

The pools at Universal Orlando put some extra fun and relaxation into your adventure. All pool areas include a hot tub, and most have multiple hot tubs. Most pool areas also host “dive-in” movies in the evenings, weather permitting.
