We just got back from the inaugural of the Norwegian Encore, which is Norwegian Cruise Line's newest cruise ship, so we got the chance to explore everything that there is to do on the Encore. The Norwegian Encore has many of the same activities and amenities as the Norwegian Bliss and other Breakaway and Breakaway Plus-class ships, offerings lots of choice and options for guests. Here's 5 of the fun things to enjoy on the Norwegian Encore!
Entertainment
The Norwegian Encore serves up some great entertainment, from Tony Award-winning Broadway production 'Kinky Boots' to a journey through the musical history of the Beatles at the Cavern Club. Our favorite of the cruise was Choir of Man, an energetic show featuring a variety of musical genres sung in a pub called 'The Jungle.' Older guests will also want to check out Happy Hour Prohibition: The Musical, a musical comedy show that also features a unique cocktail list of Prohibition-era drinks (this show comes with an extra cost).
Water Slides
You can also get your thrills in Norwegian Encore's Aqua Park, including two multi-story water slides. You can race your friends on the Aqua Racer, or take a wild ride on the Ocean Loops that loop over the side of the ship. Kids can also enjoy the kids' Aqua Park with slides, water cannons, and plenty of fun ways to get wet!
The Waterfront
The Waterfront is a unique feature of many of Norwegian Cruise Line's newer ships, giving guests spaces to drink, dine, snack, and relax on the ship's Promenade deck. You can find outdoor spaces for many of the ship's restaurants and bars here, including the Bake Shop and Sugarcane's Mojito Bar. Or, if you'd just like to hang out and watch the ocean go by, there are several spots with plush seating to sit and relax.
Galaxy Pavilion
If you've never tried out any virtual reality games, this is a fun place to give them a try. The Galaxy Pavilion sports a variety of virtual reality experiences and games, including mazes, a roller coaster simulator, shooter-style games, and more. There is an extra cost of $8 per game, though you can also try out four for $20.
Race Track
One of the Norwegian Encore's most unique and over-the-top features is their race track at sea! Go racing in go karts
on a track that stretches out along the aft of the ship, and even 13 feet over the ship's side! There is an extra cost for this experience, and reservations are recommended.
