Why Fall Might Be the BEST Time to Visit Disney World

Is there anything more magical than Main Street, U.S.A. decked out in pumpkins and autumn garland? Fall at Walt Disney World is cozy meets pixie dust—with cooler temps, festive treats, and enough Halloween fun to make Jack Skellington proud.
Here’s why fall is one of my favorite times to send families and couples to the Most Magical Place on Earth:
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Running on select nights from August through October, this separately ticketed event at Magic Kingdom is spooktacular. Dress up (yes, adults too!), trick-or-treat through the park, catch the Boo-To-You Parade, and don’t miss the fireworks hosted by Jack Skellington himself.
Lighter Crowds + Lower Temps
Early fall means back-to-school for many, which often means smaller crowds and slightly more manageable weather.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
This fan-favorite runs from late summer through mid-November. Think global marketplaces, creative dishes, wine & cocktails, and concerts under the stars. Perfect for couples or foodie families!
Seasonal Snacks + Fall Vibes Everywhere
Disney doesn’t hold back on seasonal snacks—expect pumpkin spice churros, Halloween cupcakes, and Instagram-worthy treats. Plus, every park gets into the autumn spirit with themed decor and seasonal merch.
Cool Idea for Check-In Day
Arriving early and your room’s not ready yet? Grab your swimsuits and head to one of Disney’s water parks—Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach (seasonal). It’s a fun, low-pressure way to kick off your vacation! Relax in a lazy river, conquer the wave pool, or let the kids burn off some energy.
Don’t Miss the Fall Room Discounts
Save up to 30% off select resorts on select nights through October 11! These promos can help you upgrade to that Deluxe resort or stay a little longer without stretching your budget. I keep tabs on every offer so you don’t have to—just ask, and I’ll check what’s available for your dates!
