Why June Is the Smart Time to Plan Your Next Big Getaway

Vintage travel poster with warm, nostalgic tones showing a smiling couple planning a vacation at a table. The man holds a paper while the woman reads a cruise line brochure. A desk calendar displays the month of June. In the background, a cruise ship sails near tropical scenery with palm trees, a domed building, and a calm ocean. Text reads: “PLAN AHEAD. TRAVEL BETTER. NOW BOOKING 2025 & 2026 VACATIONS.” A suitcase, postcards, and a glass of red wine are also visible on the table.

While summer is just beginning here at home, now is actually the smartest time to start planning your next big escape. I know, it feels early. But the truth is, if you wait until your calendar frees up or you’re “ready,” you’ll miss out on the best of what’s available—especially if you have your heart set on a milestone trip, an adults-only escape, or that cruise with the balcony you’ve been dreaming about.

So why plan now? Here’s what I’m seeing and recommending:

Winter & Spring Cruises: Get Ahead of the Rush

Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, and even transatlantic itineraries are already in high demand. And when it comes to cruising, the best rooms (think club level and balcony cabins) always go first.

Booking early means:

  • Access to better stateroom locations and configurations

  • Early bird perks and promotions

  • Less stress about airfare and shore excursions

  • More time to plan group travel or pre-/post-cruise stays

Cruises for winter 2025 and spring 2026 may sound far off, but I’m already helping clients secure their preferred ships, room types, and itineraries. If a cruise is on your wish list, this is the time to grab your spot.

Fall & Off-Season Guided Tours: Less Crowds, More Culture

If you’ve ever visited a European landmark shoulder-to-shoulder with a tour group the size of a football team, you know peak season has its downsides. That’s why I love recommending off-season guided tours, like Globus Escapes.

What makes fall and early winter such a smart time to travel?

  • Lower rates and more availability

  • Fewer crowds at iconic sites

  • Cooler weather = better walking, dining, and sightseeing experiences

  • More personal attention from guides and staff

For empty nesters, honeymooners, or couples craving culture and connection, this is the sweet spot. You get all the beauty and history of a place—without the long lines, heat waves, or high-season prices.

These tours are curated, intimate, and surprisingly affordable. Many even offer small-group sizes and hand-picked local experiences you’d never find on your own.

Adults-Only All-Inclusive Resorts: Romantic & Relaxing

Fall and early winter also happen to be ideal for adults-only beach vacations. Once school’s back in session and holiday travel hasn’t yet ramped up, there’s a quiet window with:

  • Lower rates and attractive promos

  • Wide open availability at premium resorts

  • Quieter beaches and more attentive service

Think: swim-up suites, club-level rooms, infinity pools, spa days, and private candlelit dinners. Whether you’re planning a honeymoon, anniversary, or just need a reset before the holidays, this is when the magic happens.

What I’m Seeing Right Now…

  • Clients are already reaching out to book 2026 milestone vacations—think 50th birthdays, retirement trips, family reunions, and vow renewals.

  • Group space is limited on many cruises and resort blocks, especially for clients looking for private pools, adjoining rooms, or upgraded categories.

  • Last-minute planning rarely gets you the best value. Early planning gives you better pricing, more perks, and—most importantly—peace of mind.

Let’s Plan Ahead Together

If you’re even thinking about a 2025 or 2026 getaway, now is the time to get the ball rolling. I’m here to help you choose the right itinerary, room category, and travel style to match your goals—without the overwhelm.

Just reach out when you're ready, and we’ll start crafting something amazing—while the best options are still on the table.
