The Truth About Resort Recommendations: What You Need to Know

One of the questions I get asked often is: “Do you recommend every resort you tour?” The answer is simple—no, I don’t.
When I visit resorts on site inspections, I’m not just there to take pretty photos and enjoy the scenery. I’m there to evaluate. These visits help me experience a property first-hand so I can confidently guide my clients toward the right fit.
Why Site Inspections Matter
Online reviews and brochures only tell part of the story. When I walk through a resort, I’m paying attention to details like:
Services & Hospitality – How does the staff treat guests? Is the service warm, consistent, and efficient?
Amenities – Are the rooms comfortable, updated, and well-kept? Does the resort have extras like spa facilities, entertainment, or unique dining options?
Pools & Common Spaces – Are the pools clean, inviting, and designed for relaxation (or fun for families)?
Beach Quality – Is the sand soft and swimmable, or is it rocky and crowded? Does it feel private or packed?
Atmosphere – Every resort has a vibe. Some are perfect for couples seeking romance, while others are built for families or groups of friends looking for fun.
Do I Recommend Every Resort?
No—and that’s the point. Not every property meets the standard of service or experience I want for my clients. Sometimes I find resorts where the service feels inconsistent, the amenities are outdated, or the beach just doesn’t compare to other options nearby.
But here’s the important part: there is a resort for everyone. What doesn’t work for one traveler might be exactly what another is looking for. My job is to filter through the options, give you honest feedback, and match you with the resort that fits your travel style, budget, and expectations.

When I recommend a resort, it’s because I’ve seen it myself and know it’s a place I’d feel good sending you—or even staying at personally. My site inspections mean less guesswork, fewer surprises, and more vacations that truly live up to your dreams.
